Head Professor: Ryan Kelly

Details: Ryan Kelly began studying martial arts when he was in Elementary school. He has over thirty years of martial arts training and over twenty years of teaching experience. He has owned his own Academy, Northwest martial arts, for over 18 years, and has taught at the University Of Oregon in the PE department for over 16 years. Ryan holds many titles and certifications including a 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a Full Instructorship in Jeet Kune Do and the Filipino Martial Arts, a black belt in Judo, and an Instructorship in Sambo. Ryan and his wife Jenna spend their time outside of the Academy raising their three kids and giving back to the community by volunteering for a variety of local non-profits and offering free self defense training to women's groups and those in need.

Kids Program Detail: School teaches kids a lot of great things... but it lacks in many important life skills, like: discipline, goal setting, focus, a deep sense of respect, self-defense, and fitness. In every one of our Eugene Kids Martial Arts classes, your child will develop each of these and more. And they'll have a ton of fun too. Every class contains group activities, games & more that encourage positive social skills, friend-making and fun.
