Details: Rock City MMA is all about the teaching of Martial Arts, Mixed Martial Arts and the belief that it is for anybody and everybody! A great way to get in shape, stay in shape and develop athletic skills superior to most. We believe that when you feel beat down in the cage of life, or you feel the grinding pressure of ground n pound at work or at school, the skills you have acquired through MMA training will bring you victory. Knowing that Jesus, your ultimate Cornerman, is there to bring you water in between rounds, gives us hope and courage to fight another round. We want to fight the good fight of faith. Knowing that with God beside me, we can accomplish anything we set our mind to. The life skills that are taught to the students will help develop Leadership, Courage, Respect, Discipline, Focus, Confidence, Integrity, and Humility. To say that Mr. Nathan Kirby is an on-fire man of God is the top of the list of many titles he carries. Mr. Kirby is a motivated mixed martial artist, 4th-degree black belt instructor in taekwondo, mixed martial arts and Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor. Mr. Kirby is a dedicated family man with his lovely wife, Tiffany, and his sons- Colton, 16 yrs old and Ashton, 13 yrs old. Originally from Burlington, Iowa, Mr. Kirby began karate at the age of 7 yrs old and currently holds a professional MMA fighter record of 8 wins and 2 losses. Mr. Kirby teaches his own mixed martial arts curriculum to students of all ages and levels of ability, trains, and coaches fighters, is an active coordinator, matchmaker, promoter and the master of ceremonies (MC) for over 30 MMA events.

Kids Program Detail: MAT RATS MMA & BJJ AGES 4 TO 7 - Mat Rats MMA & BJJ teaches children the basics of Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. You will be surprised what your little one can do and is capable of in this academy. We see potential and will show you that the results are limitless. Both classes are offered 4 times a week as well as an opportunity to join our competition team. Special CLINICS, SEMINARS, and COMPETITIONS as announced. Schedule times and classes subject to change. Private lessons can be scheduled on Fridays from 3:00 to 5:30. Rock City MMA is all about Team. YOUTH MMA and BJJ AGES 7 TO 13 - Our Kids/Youth MMA and BJJ classes are fun and fitness focused. Great for the new student with absolutely zero ability or knowledge of the sport or if your child is a well-rounded athlete they will be pushed and encouraged to grow along with our multiple world champion expert grapplers!!! We have you covered. Let me be honest. If you want real life change for you, your child or family…. We are here to do just that. I promise you will not be the same after just one class….. Our youth classes are not only focused on physical skill but on LIFE SKILLS as well. Structured on RESPECT and SELF CONTROL, your child will be challenged daily to grow into a better and more capable person as well as challenged physically daily. “I will not push you past what you can do, I will push you beyond what you THINK you can do, and show you what you are capable of achieving”.
