Details: Red Schafer Mixed Martial Arts is Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s finest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts training facility. Owner and head coach Eric “Red” Schafer is a 9-time Ultimate Fighting Championship Veteran and a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Blackbelt under Professor Pedro Sauer. The gym officially opened in December of 2010, and has continued to improve and expand. Red Schafer MMA offers a full schedule of classes including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (in the gi), no-gi submission grappling, mixed martial arts (UFC-style), boxing, and kickboxing. The classes are UNLIMITED and all-inclusive to every member! The gym offers the best rates around including discounts to police, firefighters, and military veterans.

Kids Program Detail: We offer both gi and no gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes taught by our kids coach, Coach Courtnie. Coach Courtnie is a third degree brown belt as well as an elementary school teacher. In the class children will learn the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu while having fun. Classes are an hour long and typically start with yoga stretches and movement drills followed by technique and supervised rolling (sparring). On gi days (Monday’s) children will wear the traditional gi and belt. Everyone starts off as a white belt. By showing up consistently to class and bringing a good attitude, students are able to earn stripes and and new belts as they progress. On no gi days (Wednesday’s), children may wear athletic clothing.
