Kids Program Detail: The Team FVGC Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program is the most exciting addition to children’s martial arts and self-defense in Appleton. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a ground martial art that can be thought of as a mix between Judo and wrestling. “Jiu Jitsu” means “the gentle art” and uses technique and leverage rather than strength to overcome a larger or stronger opponent. In the FVGC Kids Program, students focus on learning the basic positions, sweeps and escapes through various drilling individually and with their instructors as well as their teammates.
