Our methods are simple. We combine exceptional and detailed instruction with blue-collar work ethic. Kids Program Detail: We believe that all children must learn discipline, respect, control of their bodies and minds, integrity and teamwork in order to achieve success in life. We also focus on developing self-confidence and self-esteem in a positive learning environment where they will actually be able to see, experience, and mark their accomplishments. We believe that these important life skills will be taught/learned and developed through the instruction and practice of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Our program is designed to teach self-defense to children which will not only provide them with a high degree of self-confidence and self-esteem, but will help them to effectively deal with bullying and peer pressure that they may experience at school or in playgrounds. And these teachings will not only include the physical aspect of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but will also deal with strategies on how to reduce these occurrences and other manners in which to cope. In addition, we will provide them with tools necessary to improve their social skills with regard to friendships, authority figures and getting along with others. Depending on age and skill level, your child will be taught specific techniques and positions beginning with basic and moving to advanced, creating an understanding and a solid foundation in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As your child progresses, he/she will earn stripes and then upon mastery at a specific level, his/her next belt. The classes are designed to be age-appropriate, fun and instructional. The Kids Program incorporates self-defense techniques, sport Jiu-Jitsu, and conditioning/exercise which will all help improve your child’s coordination, strength, motor skills, and agility. In addition, the children will be awarded as they successfully demonstrate mastery in a variety of important character traits. They will also be awarded for academic excellence. We strive to develop strong values and character in our children both inside and outside the academy.
