At HURRICANE BJJ, whether you want to learn basic self defense or your goal is to compete one day, we have a class for you! Hurricane Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, combat sport, and a self defense system that focuses on takedowns, grappling and especially ground fighting. It is a non-violent method of self defense that uses leverage, holds and locks to neutralize a larger opponent. Open to all ages, Hurricane BJJ is located in Cathedral City. Lead by black belt, Professor Josh Dubinsky, classes promote non-violent methods of self-defense, self-confidence, and an intese workout in a safe and energetic atmosphere. Women are especially trained how to sense danger and defend themselves against potential attackers.

Kids Program Detail: We teach students from 5 to 15 how to assert themselves against bullies, and if attacked, how to neutralize the situation. Our curriculum is tailored and specifically designed for children, striking an ideal balance of structured fun and opportunities for personal growth. We aim to promote self-control, respect, and honesty. Students in our program are here because their parents want something challenging, encouraging, and special for their child. The lessons learned on the mat are accomplishments your child will carry with them into adulthood. We are inspired each and every day by our wonderful students, and we hope that you consider joining our family. Going beyond the grappling of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we teach a mix of traditional martial arts and self-defense. We keep our classes fun and engaging. Your child will develop balance, coordination, a healthy approach to fitness, and most importantly the confidence that comes from succeeding at an activity that they love!
