Details: CHECKMAT GULF BREEZE is a collaborative effort between the Multi times IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation) World Champion Chico Mendes and Janilson Bie to spread the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Lifestyle and change people's life. The vision for the school is to offer World Class Instruction in a traditional concept that focuses solely on real Jiu-Jitsu. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a combat sport and self-defense system that focuses on ground fighting. Unlike karate and boxing, it does not use punches or kicks but instead uses chokes and joint locks to disable opponents. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is considered a vital skill for mixed martial artists.

Kids Program Detail: Our Principles of Jiu-Jitsu program is designed to introduce our kids from 3 to 5 years old to Jiu-Jitsu and help on developing listening skills, gross motor skills, balance, and respect. Our kids are encouraged to make friends, have fun through games, and grow their passion for the art and sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Program goals: Learn self-discipline and build confidence; Respect for others; Improve coordination and agility.
