Details: Maxum BJJ is located in Islip Terrace on Long Island, NY and offers BJJ, MMA, wrestling, and kickboxing classes seven days a week. We welcome practitioners of all ages, genders, body types, levels of experience, and reasons for training. We're here to teach those who want to learn the world's greatest martial arts and have fun doing it. We have a specialized children's BJJ program designed to promote self-confidence and teach anti-bullying and self-defense techniques that students can use to compete and/or protect themselves. We also offer family, friends, police, and active military discounts. The hardest part is putting the nerves, ego, or fear aside and walking in the door. Don't be intimidated! Whether you’re 6 or 60 years old, come down to try a FREE class, learn the art of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and join our great family.

Kids Program Detail: All of the techniques shown in our children's program are designed to help children gain self-confidence. We help our students apply that self-confidence and important BJJ skills in what they learn every day in order to protect themselves and/or to compete. Other aspects of our classes include the proper way to handle being approached by or speaking to strangers, how to get a hold of the police, knowing your address and telephone numbers, how to identify a potentially dangerous situation, etc.
