Head Professor: Chris Hoy

Details: Chris has been a lifelong student of martial arts, first training in 1986. He started training in Brazilian jiu jitsu in 2006 and is currently under black belt Ulrich Szabo. Chris has been instructing various styles martial arts for over 25 years. Chris is a well rounded martial artist who holds a black belt in various degrees in four different styles of southeast Asian and Chinese martial arts, most notably a full instructor in Bruce Lee’s martial art of Jeet Kune Do. Chris also has an advanced instructor degree in Indonesian Silat. Instructor rank in Muay Thai kickboxing. He brought the teaching styles of Jeet Kune Do To the NFL, working with players one on one for seven seasons and also brought the martial art to several division I NCAA football programs. Worked with and taught various law enforcement agencies and members of elite US military forces.

Kids Program Detail: At Hoy’s Martial Arts Academy we combine the most effective skills and training of all the disciplines that we study into the curriculum for our kid's program, and teach them in age appropriate ways for children ages 4 through 12. Classes will incorporate bully prevention, self defense, and jiu-jitsu.
