Kids Program Detail: Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are for children ages 5-14, when they are mature enough to join the Adult classes. Kids are highly energetic and have a biological tendency to excel at grappling. Jiu-Jitsu offers them a medium through which to channel this energy in a positive, healthy way. They will learn to perform drill techniques similar to the Fundamentals to give them a thorough introduction to the art, as well as utilize these techniques to further improve their motor skills, coordination, strength, flexibility, and agility. In addition to learning self-defense, they also learn that commitment, respect, focus, self-discipline, hard work, and effort yield positive results – both mentally and physically. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is also a great way to meet friends, and their teammates are always there for them!
