Gyms Details:
Head Professor: Eric Martinez
Details: At 80/20 we teach classes for everyday people. It is not uncommon to see people from all walks of life training side-by-side trying to better themselves. We try to teach classes in a way that pushes students to understand what works and does not work in a variety of situations: on the street, in the cage, on the practice mats, or in high-level competition. Our students can feel confident that they are learning using FAST and EFFECTIVE training methods. It is this dedication to focusing on what works that has allowed many of our “everyday” students to compete and medal in the highest levels of competition across the country and state, with no additional training. These competitors do the same exact classes as all our other students and have proven that our approach to martial arts works at the highest levels of competition.
Kids Program Url: http://www.8020jiujitsu.com/kids-jiu-jitsu/
Kids Program Detail: Kids will get a lot out of Jiu-Jitsu. They will develop the ability to move and get coordinated with their bodies. Listening to the instructor and practicing the techniques will develop their patience and discipline. They will participate in little mini-games and learn how to problem-solve, on the fly. They will develop their leadership abilities by working with and helping their partners with the techniques. Jiu-Jitsu is an individual sport, so they will gently learn to work hard and take responsibility for their success. Being a part of a Jiu-Jitsu team will help develop their social skills and confidence. Jiu-Jitsu will empower your kid with the confidence to avoid unnecessary confrontation but defend themselves intelligently if needed.
