Details: Cornerstone Jiu Jitsu Academy is a martial arts school focused on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and submission wrestling. BJJ is one of the foundations of mixed martial arts (MMA) and as a result is a proven form of self-defense. We offer a large number of classes for both adults and kids. We are also the home to the Cornerstone Boxing Club. Learn fundamental boxing techniques from instructors with competition experience at the national level. We are not a cardio boxing program (though you will certainly get cardio work, we promise); rather, we focus on proper form, footwork and movement to be an effective striker. Both martial arts (boxing is indeed a martial art) are undeniably challenging workouts. Indeed many people can be intimidated to try either. In light of this, we strive to emphasize maintaining a fun and welcoming environment. To summarize, we strive to work hard while simultaneously having fun and supporting each other. CJJA is a local, veteran owned business focused on family friendly instruction. Moreover, we support our LEOs and active duty military.

Kids Program Detail: Our academy in Leander offers Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes by experienced instructors that will not only focus on self-defense skills, but also implement the importance of respect, hard work, and dedication. Incorporating Jiu Jitsu into one’s schedule is proven to show an increase in listening skills, a deeper understanding of core values, and an exceptional boost in teamwork ability. Growing up, kids face a majority of different conflicts they aren’t always sure how to deal with. From peer pressure to bullying, our staff makes sure to educate our students on what is expected on and off the mats. The professors of our academy will guide every student step by step through different techniques that will forever keep them safe from any potential attackers or troublesome confrontations.
