We are committed to providing the best instruction and training environment for people of every skill level. Gustavo Machado Chesapeake specializes in self-defense, fitness, and competition training for youth and adults in the arts of Jiu Jitsu and Submission Grappling.

Kids Program Detail: It is our goal to provide each child with the ability to confidently interact with society and achieve success. Success is earned through hard work, commitment and dedication. At Gustavo Machado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Chesapeake, we realize that success is both relative and subjective. It is our job to understand each student’s needs and prepare them for long-lasting success. We do this by providing quality physical education and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction in a clean and safe learning environment. Our classes will include self-defense principles as well physical education lessons. In essence, we will be teaching both content AND process. Success breeds interest, and by building fundamental physical education movements and self-defense concepts, we are creating the foundation that your child can build off of for the rest of their life. Our children’s program is available for students ages 4-13 years old, with a class for 4-7 year old’s and a class for 7-13.
