Details: Merced MMA, established in 2007 in Merced, California, is owned and operated by 3rd Deg. Black Belt Professor Marcos Tomé. Merced MMA teaches classes in traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from the Flavio Behring Jiu-Jitsu system as well as Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Submission Wrestling (No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu), and Women’s Bootcamp/Conditioning. Merced MMA is also a sister school to Oakdale MMA and Sonora MMA. Membership with Merced MMA also allows you to train at their Academies as well. “Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone,” a phrase commonly said by Professor Marcos Tome. There are no age limits for Jiu-Jitsu and it does not depend on strength of the body, only the strength of the mind. Kids Program Detail: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is an intense, aerobic, and anaerobic workout that helps any child’s fitness and health improve. It is a fun exercise for children to develop body coordination as well as personal development and growth. The benefits of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu go above and beyond any other martial art due to its adaptability in the skills and techniques that a child learns to takedown an opponent.

Woman Only Program Detail: MMA Merced and Academy Jiu Jitsu offers Women’s Bootcamp. An intensive program to not only get in shape but change the way you work out. Women’s Bootcamp at Merced MMA is a complete fitness system that incorporates muscle toning and cardio training along with plyometrics. Our workouts parallel the training regimens of our Champion Jiu Jitsu and MMA fighters. No yelling, no screaming, but plenty of sweating. Whether you’re a fitness fanatic or haven’t exercised in years, we guarantee this is a workout unlike any other.

Pricing: KIDS AGES 4-6 - Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu $70/month/30 days written cancellation notice required. KIDS AGES 7-12 - Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/Kickboxing/Submission Wrestling. Two classes/week $100/month - 30 days written cancellation notice required; Four classes/week/$125/month - 30 days written cancellation notice required; Unlimited classes/$140/month – 30 days written cancellation notice required. ADULTS 13 & UP - Monthly Membership, all classes included $150/month/30 days written cancellation notice required, Annual Membership, all classes included $130/month/12-month contract included. WOMENS BOOTCAMP/CONDITIONING ONLY - 2 classes/week $100/month/30 Day Cancellation Notice, 4 classes/week $125/month/30 Day Cancellation Notice. DISCOUNTS, REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION - Family Discount of 10% off second family members, 20% off third, etc. Registration fee of $35 applies at the time of registration and on an annual basis, every Jan. 15th. A 30 day written notice of cancellation is required on ALL memberships. All written notices must be emailed to mercedmma@icloud.com. If you train one day in any given month, you are responsible for that month’s tuition. If a student quits for more than one month and returns, the student will be charged a new registration fee and will pay current fees if the fees have increased. It is the responsibility of the student/parent to cancel the account. The account will NOT be automatically canceled due to a lack of attendance.
