Details: We are an affiliate of JG Academy x Aspire to Inspire founded by second degree blackbelt, Javier Gomez. Our affiliation gives our members access to cross train at any of the 11+ academies in California and the US! Our vision is to spread the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu lifestyle, create a sense of community through sport, and leave a positive impact through world class instruction.

Kids Program Detail: 4-6 Year Olds - Our youngest kids program features a fast-paced 30 minute class. Students will learn basic movements, fundamental techniques, and be exposed to sparring in a fun and safe atmosphere. Through a combination of jiu jitsu based games and technical instruction students will gain a basic understanding of the sport while building discipline and focus. 7-9 Year Olds - Our 7-9 year olds train a 45 minute class with an increased emphasis on jiu jitsu techniques. We will focus on fundamental movements with an increased emphasis on application in sparring while still participating in some fun games and developmentally appropriate instruction. Students in this class will continue to learn how to demonstrate respect on the mat and follow proper jiu jitsu etiquette. 10-13 Year Olds - Our oldest kid's program trains 1 hour classes available 4 times a week including a nogi class. We continue to drill fundamental techniques with more rigorous warmups, drilling, and incorporation of competition strategy. Technical instruction is detailed and more broad than our younger classes. There is an increased emphasis on sparring and we hold our students to high expectations of respect and discipline. Every class still ends with a fun game!

Woman Only Program Detail: We know jiu jitsu can be an uncomfortable sport for many women at first which is why we offer a women's only class. With female brown-belt instruction, this class offers all the same benefits of our regular adults classes but with women only training partners and an increased emphasis on self-defense application of techniques.At JG Lodi we pride ourselves in being a woman-friendly academy and find our female students ultimately choose to train in both this class and the mixed gender​ classes. The class is open to woman and girls ages 12 and up.
