Details: Fit Club BJJ is a Jiu-Jitsu and Self-Defense school located in the heart of downtown.Professor Joe (known by everyone as Coach Joe) is the best at what he does. His gift is helping and teaching others. Joe's love for the art and sport is reflected in each class. This family run gym is a special fixture in Fairfield. Our members, past and present, can share how wonderful the gym is for both kids and adults. Many say our gym is a home away from home. We take pride in our town, our teaching, and most importantly the friendships we build with our members. If you are looking for an after-school activity for your child, a new sport for yourself, a way to get in shape, build confidence and strength, learn how to protect yourself, and/or a way to meet great people in both Fairfield and surrounding towns come in!

Kids Program Detail: Classes for ages 5 to high school - Come learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the best coach around! Coach Joe is passionate about teaching this martial art. He loves helping kids find confidence, build strength, and learn BJJ. Our classes are structured for learning the moves all while having fun. Kids who decide to compete can do so with our competition team! Our kids program will develop your child’s confidence, discipline, self-image, and teach them how to protect themselves while developing good character. They will learn to handle bullies, peer pressure, and adversity. BJJ is a competitive Martial Art which focuses on dominant positions and submissions (chokes and joint locks). In class you can expect a warm up followed by a takedown technique (Judo/Wrestling) and drilling of 2-3 positions/submissions on the ground. After drilling there are timed sessions of live training where students can test and practice the techniques they learn in class.
