Details: Wildfire Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was opened May 6, 2016 by owner and head instructor Wyatt Tinnen (with a LOT of help) with the mission statement "Building Better Belts". The idea was to provide an environment where students and instructors alike could advance their training in the martial arts whether they wanted to be a competitor, be prepared for a real life self defense scenario, or simply be better than when they walked through the door. In June of 2016 Wildfire BJJ joined the Team Rhino Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Association under Professor Keith Owen. Since then, Professor Owen has awarded 9 Blue Belts, 3 Purple Belts, and 1 Brown Belt to the hard working and dedicated students at Wildfire. Wildfire Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu currently operates at 1410 NW Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO in a 1950 sq/ft climate controlled facility with parking, restroom, and shower facilities available on site and is a fully insured and licensed martial arts facility and Kansas City Local Business.

Kids Program Detail: Open to kids ages 4-9 and their parents. Our kids program is entirely focused on building a positive experience with physical activity, teamwork, and jiu-jitsu. We partner kids with their parents as we play games that focus on the fundamental movements and ideas of jiu-jitsu in a safe and controlled environment. We use a mixture of basic exercises, tumbling, fitness and agility challenges, as well as jiu-jitsu to give kids and parents a fun and varied workout and learning experience. Parental participation at this age is mandatory for the first few classes, so be ready to get a work out as well! We will be adding a 9-12 age group and a 13-16 youth program as soon as possible.
