Details: Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo “Veio” de Lima started practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at nineteen after being invited to Gracie Barra by his friend Renzo Gracie. He trained under instructor Jean-Jacques Machado for two years, and received his blue and purple belts before Jean-Jacques moved to America to work with his brothers. From this point forward he trained under Master Carlos Gracie Jr. In 1995, Eduardo began teaching class for the white belts and rookie blue belts at Gracie Barra. After earning his brown belt, everyone began attending his classes, including the black belts.
