Details: In my thirty plus years of practicing martial arts, I’ve noticed a common theme: “I’ve always wanted to try a martial art”. Yet so few appear to do so. We at Centreville BJJ believe this is in part due to the mystique and intimidation of the martial arts. For many, it’s scary to take that first step: to get up off the couch and walk through the door of your local martial arts academy. Kids Program Detail: Our Little Guardians program is offered to children ages 5 to 12 years old. At Centreville BJJ, our instructors teach children and young adults a combination of effective self-defense and non-violent conflict resolution skills. These skills are based upon the proven martial art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo and wrestling. Our Little Guardians program also provides children with a strong start on life in developing positive characters traits that are based upon core values of the martial arts. Moreover, our classes are fun and high-energy, providing good exercise and motivation for children to lead healthy, sustainable lifestyles.
