Gracie Jiu Jitsu was created by Master Helio Gracie in 1925 and perfected by him and his family for almost a century. The primary goal of the Gracie family was to create a self-defense system that was easy to learn and that it worked for the smaller weaker person. It is a fact that there is always someone bigger, faster, stronger, and more aggressive than you. Our goal at Team Hopkins Academy of Jiu Jitsu is to strive to teach the same curriculum and philosophy of the Gracie family, and also promote the Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle of a healthy diet and a friendly family oriented activity that builds confidence and self discipline.
