Details: Professor Reppin started training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu BJJ at the early age of 16 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. He earned his BJJ Black Belt under the Vieira Brothers of Checkmat Brazilian Jiu Jitsu association and team, headquartered in Sao Paolo, Brazil. It was founded by Leo Vieira who leads Checkmat with his brothers Ricardo Vieira and Leandro Vieira. In 2010 Professor Reppin traveled to the United Kingdom and was a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor at Aire Valley Martial Arts. AVMA had fighters that would compete in MMA, K1 Kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The Professor played a big role in the success of the fighters there. The Professor later traveled to the United Arab Emirates and was hired to train the UAE Presidential Guard in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Combatives from 2011 to 2013. While in the UAE, Professor Reppin also trained US Special Ops Soldiers from Alpha Company 1st Battalion 5th Special Forces Group in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The 5th Special Forces Group is one of the most decorated special operations units in the United States military. Professor Reppin was also BJJ and Self Defense Coach for men, women, and children at the MMA Fitness Centre Dubai during his time in the UAE. He now resides in Saint Petersburg, Florida and is the Head Instructor at Checkmat Saint Petersburg Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
