Details: Marin Mixed Martial Arts (MarinMMA) was founded by Mikyo Riggs in 2006. Mikyo Riggs is a professional martial artist and a highly prominent figure in the Mixed Martial Arts community. He started his career in martial arts over two decades ago and holds black belts in multiple styles, including Gracie Jiu Jitsu. Mikyo has trained with world renowned Martial artists and some of today’s top professional fighters. His extensive training, combined with his education in Psychology, is what shaped the foundation of MarinMMA. Marin Mixed Martial Arts specializes in practical self defense training and it incorporates all of the styles that are used in professional Mixed Martial Arts – Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, American boxing, and wrestling. MarinMMA has molded these styles into one complete Martial Art which allows our students to understand both ground fighting as well as stand up fighting. This combination of Martial Arts styles has become the most complete and effective self-defense known today.
