Details: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art characterized as a combat sport system that is enjoyed by people all over the world. BJJ, as it is fondly referred to, is primarily a specialization in ground fighting, and can include takedowns and throws as matches start from the feet in competition. The basic point in a match, or self-defense situation, is to takedown your opponent and control them until you reach a submission. Jiu jitsu is effective because it places precedence on technique, not strength, at it’s core. This allows for anyone to learn the art and enjoy it!
